TSC X Cumberland launches 22′

2022 Incoming.

We’re delighted to have launched the Cumberland brothers set up for 2022 – with support from Giant UK both ambitious young athletes will be racing on the Giant Propel Advanced PRO 1 accompanied with Sports nutrition from NamedSport> & head safety provided by Met Helmets.

Ben, the older brother and current World Triathlon Duathlon Jnr World Champion, has high targets for this season and aims to not only qualify for the Tri World Champs but also compete for the tittle. The 18year old previously rode the famed TCR from Giant which was a fantastic platform for him to accelerate and manoeuvre quickly to get him in prime position for the last phase of the races! Racking up 4 podiums and 2 wins in 2021 on the 8th Gen TCR, initially Ben and Store manager Stephen discussed the potential of staying on the model but moving to the 9th and newest generation frame – however both rider and sponsor agreed when the option list came out, it was time to move across to the Propel especially off all of the progressive and fantastic titles it’s been winning whilst partnered with Norway’s Kristian Blummenfelt

The South West based World Champion has 2 wins, 4 podiums and 7 Top 10 finishes out of 2021, after claiming Champ status we had asked ‘in 2022, what are you aiming for?’ his response was pretty simple…”Compete for the titles at the European and World Tri Champs and take home a medal”

“We’re really looking forward to the season ahead and know it’s going to be a special season !”

Stephen, Swindon Cycles GM

Josh, the new comer to TSC has also developed his pathway over the last few seasons – qualifying to race in the England kit at the National series, with the target of qualifying for European and Worlds with Team GB. Josh who has also been riding a TCR to date is heading into his first season as a fully supported rider on TSC with a fairly hectic calendar ahead.

The Youth rider; has 1 win, 2 podium finishes and a further 5 Top 10 finishes under his belt off the back of 2021. He’s aiming to qualify for the European Youth Champs and hoping to medal at the European Champs!

We are really looking forward to this forthcoming season; we would like to thank Giant UK for their continued support and belief in the lads. We also want to take the time to thank the team sponsors; NamedSport>, Met Helmets, BikeFit Swindon, Weeman Coaching, DiamondPro Cure Fitness, CAMS & the Swindon Advertiser – without their contribution and sponsorship we wouldn’t be able to run the team!
