E123

Tom, Olly & Myles took to the E123 race which started at 9:15 so it meant an early start to head out to Dalton Barracks, 8am meeting to start prep and warm ups. Olly managed to fight for a top 4 finish after being carefully marked through out and missing the break of which two riders managed to pull away giving them a 10 and 7 second gap from the LEAGUE rider. Olly also set the fastest lap time of the round too with a 3:37,12. Unfortunately both Tom and Myles DNF due to mechanical and technicals.

Olly takes 6 points for his efforts and heads to the next race!

Cat 3

Simon & Joe both entered the Cat3 race; with 26 riders all looking to claim points. Both riders headed out strong, narrowly missing out on the break away of 5 riders who all worked well together and pulled out a 1m 20s gap to the main group which left the pack fighting for 6th for most of the race. Simon made a couple of efforts to bridge but with not much in the way of working together, ended up sitting in and waiting for the final bunch finish. Joe also sat in, preserving and getting in the last few laps awaiting the final sprint but both our riders got pend in and despite Simon’s efforts to lead Joe out couldn’t move out of his way ending in a 15th for Syco & 19th for Joe.

Done for the day?? Absolutely not, Myles got his head in the game – prepped for the next race he’d already entered which was the Masters, Myles and the group was caught after an attack which resulted in being the winning move split the race. Without much in regards to mutual working together, Myles lost the wheel of the rider who took 2nd and rolled in to take 4th position – also taking points!
