The team moves into the second season with the ambitious bar raised and squad enhanced to help support those goals; affiliation to the ORRL, the announcement of the BC Southern League and other events being added to the calendar we are ready to get going.
The management of the team in Stephen & Tom remains the same from last season; coordinating and planning the teams schedule, targets and dynamics. Both Stephen & Tom may be seen racing this year in RT kit, but don’t consider themselves apart of the 12 squad, mainly racing regional crits for fun and personal goals. But to grow they have introduced 3 Road captain’s to help coordination for both the managers & the riders.
Myles, Olly & Simon have been brought on as team captains – they represent talent, experience and support which all the riders and the managers will need this season.
“As anything we learn, we build – we grow. The first season was in large a success; with multiple wins, a series win, plenty of top finishes across Regional and National events. In this phase 2, the second year, we needed to get affiliated to a consistent amount of races that we would be able to have a full squad at, with the introduction of the BC South League this has helped us be able able to field a squad of 12 riders. We have introduced our first female rider with plans to expand and grow a female team, we made a decision to introduce U23 riders alongside experience riders teaming to enhance their development & our team dynamics. We needed to have an additional layer of coordination, Road Captains were appointed so all the riders have talent and experience to look to, but also to help us coordinate come road side & training.” – Stephen
The Squad has been enhanced, the coordination has been improved and we look forward to a full and busy schedule of racing!
