Although we have more Road Races as part of our Focused calendar we strongly push our riders to take advantage and utilise mid-week racing at local crit meets, Thruxton, Abingdon, Swindon’s new circuit and of course the Castle Combe circuit are all popular sites that hold racing series through out the season.

Castle Combe is a site that Joe, Myles & Mark have been utilising this season. Joe in fantastic form has been focused on racing strong and the fruits of his labour have started to come in… With top 10’s and a podium last week Joe headed with his 2 team mates feeling confident. The field was packed, notably with 10 SWCC riders all in attendance and having their own plans.. With multiple attacks from the whistle the racing was constant and relentless, the final attack that stuck was from Joe & one other rider racing for Team Spirit. The break was nearly caught with only 10s at one point but the two men managed to pull together and stay away!

Joe claimed his second podium from Castle Combe for the second consecutive week – He now heads to ART and the Giro Stage race in search for BC points and podiums to claim his C2 license.
